Wanting to go from a pink shade to purple strands, or green to blue locks? To change your color without involving bleach or a haircut, we recommend a slow transition starting with hair-healthy fading. You can use the Fader Clarifying Shampoo to gently fade out your oVertone before transitioning to a new hue. We've also got a few tips on how to fade your hair fast and safely.
Once your strands have faded enough, you can then transition to another shade! We suggest choosing an analogous color (next to each other on the color wheel) to start. Warm shades like pink, red, orange, and rose gold, play well together and produce great results. Same with cool colors like green, blue, purple, and teal. Applying a cool shade over a warm color (or vice versa) can produce muddy-looking results as those pigments try to cancel each other out.
